Though most people think about babies when they think about adoption, there are many older children and hundreds of teens who wait for a family. Most of them have been in foster care for a considerable length of time; many have faced multiple moves and great losses. Until fairly recently, teens in foster care were rarely considered for adoption. Thankfully, that has now changed.

The jocks arm wrestle in their letterman jackets, and the nerds debate the merits of various super powers. Also present here are the preppies, the theater geeks, the Goths, the hipsters, the band crowd, and every other stereotype. We want our teenagers to fit in , we want them to make teen friends—perhaps even be popular. The good news?

A teenager from the greater Houston area was arrested Sunday for allegedly making a threat to blow up an airliner he had boarded. Hector Fernando Fonseca could now face up to 10 years in prison if convicted of the criminal charges filed against him. Fonseca, 17, and his father were at the George Bush Intercontinental Airport on August 3 in Houston, and they were about to board their United Airlines flight to Guatemala when the teen posted to Snapchat. The post also included an image of his shoes and shorts inside the terminal at Bush Airport. A second post read, "time to blow up the plane" just before the son and father boarded their plane, according to court documents.
